First of all, you must

(1) inform your dive guide/dive master or instructor accompanying you.

(2) Seek medical advice, call DAN hotline (852-3611 7326) if you are within Hong Kong,

(3) Put on oxygen from oxygen kit,

(4) Visit any nearby Accident and Emergency Department (A&E) of a Hospital, this step is very important to rule out other medical cause of discomfort,

(5) whenever a recompression treatment is necessary, the doctor of the A&E Department will make the appropriate logistic plan for you.

The following information will be useful for Hong Kong sport/recreational divers: - Discomfort after a scuba diving activity

Whether you develop any discomfort after sport diving activities especially the diving depth over 15meter, there would be a risk of Decompression Illness. It may be present with mild skin itching, joint discomfort, nausea & vomiting, confusion or persistent dry coughing. These symptoms may come alone or in group and the skin itching may be the early sign of severe neurological Decompression Illness.
